T'ai Chi
I practice and teach the Yang Style short form of t'ai chi in the lineage of Cheng Man Ch'ing. I am currently an adjunct faculty member of Naropa University.
I was introduced to t'ai chi by Judyth Weaver, and studied extensively with Maggie Newman; she shaped my understanding of the t'ai chi form. I was inspired by Wolfe Lowenthal's book There Are No Secrets and sought out Wolfe in New York City and studied with him. My training at the New York branch of Wolfe's Long River T'ai Chi Circle shaped my understanding of push hands and fencing. I continued my studies with Wolfe's senior student, Lenny Friedland. When I moved to Boulder in 2007, I began studying with Bataan Faigao at Rocky Mountai T'ai Chi. I assisted Bataan for three years in his classes at Naropa University before being invited to teach there.
